There’s definitely bass around in the river around Everts but lower pool 4 around Wabasha gets most of the attention from the bass guys. But you can usually catch some smallies around the docks right in front of the resort and there’s some good largemouth to be had around the wingdams and lock north of the resort.

The Smokin Oak has the best pizza in town, it’s the old Knuetos Pizza in a new building. The place is a little on the pricey side but the pizza is awesome.

Grab some cheese curds at the Bluffs Bar and Grill. They rock! And this may sound a little goofy, but they have the best root beer on the planet. You have to try one!

If you lock up river, Papa Tronnio’s in Prescott has a pretty good thin crust (and broasted chicken!). Call ahead (715-262-5131), park on the public dock and send someone to fetch while you fish. This is a must do every couple weeks in our house.
