I have a 1800 lund explorer and my kids are getting to the age where I might be pulling them behing the boat in something. I have kicker mounted on my boat and I dont think I can use the harness that hooks to the rear loops on the boat due to the kicker. Anyone know what my options are? Any help would be great!

    Thanks, Bill

I have just run the harness over the top of my kicker and haven’t had any issues yet.

Buy a skeeter and have the built in ski pole!!!!!!

You can either try running it underneath the kicker or try fabricating some kind of post in the back that will keep it above both motors.

What about the loop on the other side?? With all the torque on the curves, I wouldn’t want to snap a control off my kicker…

Just use one loop… until your kids get bigger, it shouldn’t be an issue using 1 loop Have fun

I was thinking the one loop thing also. They are small and we will not being going fast. I did also see a extra long harness that might be able to go over the kicker. I will give it all a shot.

    Thanks, Bill

I learned to water ski behind a 14″ aluminum boat, with a 9.9 Johnson I’d pull the thing under water now…

I go with the one loop now and my kids are still young.

Be careful if you ever mount a ski post. The one you can buy from Overton’s does not recommend you use it to pull tubes because of the torque. Skiers ok but not tubes.

The ski poles that come with the boat and are built well and sturdy into the framework of the boat should be ok.

Yeah I get a kick out of Ranger, my boat has a pole and Ive read that Ranger says skiers. only, then they show it pulling tubes in pics on the brochers…….
