The company I work for is based out of Omaha, I’m a remote employee working out of Minneapolis.

I’m gonna be in Omaha Sunday, Monday, Tues and come home Weds afternoon.

I’m hoping there’s someone around here that fishes the Missouri for cats that I could either get some tips from OR better yet, go out with for a while while I’m in town.

    Someone? Anyone?

    I got my fingers crossed!

No, but I visit a couple sites there for work and love going to the BassPro shop.

I lived just south of there three years and saw pictures of some good cats but never caught a decent one myself. An old guy I knew swore he caught good cats where the creeks came into the river between Omaha and Nebraska City.

IIRC they took a state record on a setline (Iowa, nebraska only recognizes rod and reel caught fish or something like that) Blue cat in bellevue, 3 years ago or something from shore.

Turned out I didn’t make it down, but I head that way fairly often and I’m thinking next time I go I may just take along the gear and try from shore myself.

depending on when you come down, the river has been so high it may take 2 months to straighten out. Should be some good fish left behind in the fields.
    Good luck

Don’t count on the river going down anytime soon. They started releasing water on Monday from Gavins Point Dam. They are going to increase the release as the flow from other tributaries decreases. They plan to do this until November.
