If you were driving from DUluth to Walker, is HWY 200 from Jacobson to Walker a good road or would Hwy 2 to Cass Lake and 371 south to Walker the best way? FUll family, camping gear, and boat in tow.

Take 200 to Walker. It’s a good road and less traffic.

Hwy 200 is fine. If you’re going to Walker this weekend, though, with Moondance , I would take the Hwy 2 to 371 route. 200 goes right in front of the entrance.

    Yes indeed . . . yes indeed . . .

But if was trying to get to Walker with the family and kiddos, I’d avoid that area. Horrible traffic back up at times.

I assume ~3pm Saturday would be a BAD time to be on hwy 200?

On my way to Walker June 19th taking 200, travel was fine and I think most of the people were all in Moondance when I went through, but I got there ‘tween 8:30 and 9 p.m. Road was fine other than the very first part, but with the boat it was still negotiable at 60 mph.

Okay, got to ask. What is Moondance?

Cool. Sounds like it could be very good sight seeing.
