All I know about this guy and his 30 or so brother and sisters is that they like eating bullheads.

I tried looking them up online but was quickly confused by the gabillions of bug photos.

    The yellow is the head.

    Any bug-ahalics out there?

I see those around our big minnow tanks when it gets hot out.

    I’m curious also.

Eating live or dead bullheads? Was it in the water? I can’t make out the beetle well in the photo on my phone, but I have seen ones like that with a yellow head, but never near bullheads, live or dead.

I had a feeling that this was going to be about Japanese beetles. Beastards found our hibiscus again this year.

Dead bullheads and the second photo show them a little better.

Here I thought it was a rare almost extinct beetle JP!

I’m a former 4H member. It is a carrion beetle. As their name suggest they eat dead things.

They are awesome! I saw two of them bury a whole rat and skin it…eat it…on the Discovery channel!

If you guys are trying to confuse me, it isn’t working. There are no levels of confusion for me except for permanently confused.
