My dad called tonight, apparently some douche took the indicating arrow off the top of his Minn Kota Vantage. I mean what the hell, they had to steal that. Probably a $75 piece of plastic.

I’ve read about multiple robberies out of boats this summer. I can’t tell you how much it p***es me off hearing about this. I just hope I can catch some douche trying this someday. The cops are going to have to take me to jail as I’m going to exact my own justice. Pieces of garbage.

I parked at two public ramps today and each had broken auto glass in the parking areas. It looked like the low lifes busted out the drivers side window each time.

Get a job, work for your money and then buy your toys, that’s what most of us had to do.

Years back a former co-worker of mine had a fishing rod stolen out of his boat at the marina he docks at. The next week he saw the little thief fishing with it right on the same dock. He detained the kid until police arrived and then they almost arrested him for detaining the thief against his will. How is an honest guy supposed to make it when both sides of the law always seem to be against him?

Here’s more than you ever likely wanted to know about making a citizen’s arrest…

In most states it is illegal to detain a suspect by making a citizen’s arrest if the crime is not a felony or if the detainee did not witness the crime. These rough guidelines don’t apply universally across all states. Some states allow a citizen’s arrest to be made for any crime witnessed.

“A citizen who violates a suspects rights, or who violates the applicable state law in detaining the suspect, (for example, arresting a suspect for a misdemeanor when the state statute requires a felony for a citizens arrest), risks being sued or even charged with a crime. Additionally, if it is found that the arresting party did not meet the pertinent state requirements for a citizens arrest, any contraband found on the suspect will have been found illegally, and charges may be dropped entirely.”

I physicaly threw a guy out of my own yard one year, he refused to leave after I told him to get off my property.
To make a long story short, when the police arrived they threatened to arrest me for assault.

Living in S Minneapolis we get the occasional raccoon, skunk, etc. in our yards and garages.

One particular raccoon took a bit of a beating this Spring at 4:30 AM when I was going to the airport for work. He was in my garage and had to crawl out after my Easton Softball bat touched his body, legs, etc. Made kind of an odd thumping sound when it made contact. He seemed like he knew it was coming when he was cornered in the back of the garage. He also dropped the gear that he appeared to be packing for whatever trip he was going on.

Oh well. He seems to have found his way out and hasn’t been back. The “animal safety” group never came over to talk to me about taking matters into my own hands.

I think it is sometimes better to handle matters quickly and justice gets served.

I had my house broke in to twice while under construction, truck twice, and a battery stolen out of my boat and tossed in 12 FOW out from the dock. If I can get ahold of one of these dirt bags I will gladly take the charges that may come with it! Dealing with the sherif in duluth a few weeks back when my truck was broken into I told him “I would love to get ahold of who did it and beat them” and his response was “I would let you and say he was resisting me”…. so get in trouble or not let me at em!

I had a nice person steal calves from the farm as a youngster. The nice officer who stopped to put in a police report advised that if we were to catch him in the act, and her were to fall out of his vehicle and get injured in the process, they could do nothing about it

From now on I will keave it up to the local police.
