My dad was talking about getting an electric trailer winch for his boat. Does anyone have one and do you have any feedback? I just wanted to check before he spends the money on it.
    Thanks

I’ll like to hear as well. How big of a rig can one take?

I’ve heard a few good things about the Dutton 3,0000lb Winch from Northern Tool. They’ve even got a smaller model if your boat is smaller or has a roller trailer.

My dad just put one on his Ranger but I don’t think he has used it ore than once or twice. I think I also saw Babe Winkleman advertise one on his show – I think that one had a remote too.

Thanks, I think the one Babe has uses ropes and such, and is way more that $300 or so.

I probably wouldn’t use it much either, but it’d be great for them times you did.

My dad had one, very nice but a pain in the if you want to take the time to hook up the battery or wait for it to slowly bring up the boat while everyone it waiting for you at the boat ramp then there fine. Or you could just back the trailer in the water a little further
