Anyone fish Forest Lake for Bass???

    This Friday I’m in a small bass tournament with some friends (5 boats) and my buddy chose Forest Lake. Since I’ve never fished it, I’m wondering if anyone has experience fishing this lake for bass and can help me out. Thanks in advance for any information!

    Good luck –
    2 lb average will be competitive in your tournament.

    The bass will be on the outside weedlines and rock. 8-12 feet of water.

    Forest Lake will be in full algae bloom for you this weekend. PEA SOUP.

    Fish a jig worm and a jig.

    Any recommendation on jig presentation and size? I usually use 3/4 oz. when fishing deeper weedlines with heavy cover, but am not sure how heavy the cover is on this lake. Also do you typically use a jig ‘n pig set up (with craw plastic) or what works well jigging?
