Why they don’t eat or move?
When they are active they eat and when the water cools their metabolism slows so much that they are living off of their fat and their last meal. And moving would burn more calories. During the warm water season their metabolism is so fast that they have to constantly eat. I don’t know about cats but walleye have to eat 5% of their body weight per day during the summer.
Those are some pretty cool observations about their tails laid down to the side.
