I, like many of you, are looking for a great week to take a long overdue vacation.
    My details are:
    1. I would prefer a good BASS fishing lake/ with option to swim and tube.
    2. Cabins are nice for the wife and 3 kids
    3. Having a pool is a BONUS with the family
    4. Other family things close by without being super touristy.
    Suggestions??
    Thanks
    Jeff

I would check out Hayward area in Wisconsin. The chippewa flowage is huge and there is free camping on some of the islands. There are all kinds of camping and resorts there in many price ranges.

I have taken the family to O’Neil Creek Campground just out side of Chippawa…They have what they call “Camping Cabins” for $35/night. They’re not much, but they keep you warm and dry. They have a creek the kids swim and tube in. They also have family activities most weekends with Movies, dances or etc…. They also have a mini golf corse. The creek flows into Lake Wissota. It’s about a 15 min boat ride from the campground, but there is some AWESOME Bass fishing spots on the way.
    Here’s the link I found on line….

Long Lake in Washburn county, Wis. Though you will be hard pressed to get a cabin on that lake for this year. Great bass fishing, clean clear water. A nice public swimming area on an island on the lake you can boat to and play water volley ball. Trophy fishing for walleye, tons of panny’s. I dont recall any resorts with pools but the lake is great for swimming….

Almost forgot Larry the Cable guy just bought a mansion on the lake so you might run into him.

Check out elbow lake resort!! Took the wife and kids up there for memorial weekend and the wife really liked it and asked me to rebook it for next year. There are no tv’s up there, good smallie and walleye lake, ant its only minuets from the northwest corner of vermilion. Cook is right there, not to far away, they have kids stuff to do with the staff there mon-fri, have a restraunt and full kitchens if you want to pack up your food. Take a peak at their website.
