Any suggestions for purchasing music online? Best price, ease of use or selection. I would like to hear your recommendations. I am 32 and officially way behind the times.

I used to buy a membership to Limewire and download files from there, but since they lost their latest lawsuit, I’ve stayed away from them.

My wife buys music from i-Tunes and has had zero problems with it.

If 32 is way behind the times then I am in big trouble.

My Wife and Daughter use a free service at http://www.frostwire.com

Meaning I have everything still on CD and many of those are getting wore out from travel and kids scratching them, etc.

I am also looking to purchase a mp3 player loaded up with music as a gift for my father to plug into his Honda Valkyrie Interstate motorcycle.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

Rarely do I ever buy music anymore, but when I find song I really want I go to amazon music prices are fair, and you download good quality mp3 that don’t have any restrictions of what you can play them on or copy them.

I used to buy lots of music back in the napster days, that ended up being a lose, lose for me and the music industry. I personally don’t want to deal with bit torrents, though a lot of people do.

Listen to the various bit rates and see if any of them don’t sound as well as you’d like, 320 will get you decent audio quaility and as you go down from there you will lose quaility.

I have a mp3 player and run everything at 320 but at 128 you’ll get a lot more music loaded into the player.
    But poorer sound. imho

Once you find if there’s any difference, then you can see who offers what bit rate.

Sat down with a rep from Apple today to help me get my Ipad started. Apparently Itunes is the answer on this toy. Talk about behind, this world has been trying to drag me into the 21rst century since about 1992 to just recently. My daughter tells me that our 13 yo grand daughter is saving for an Ipad and knows how to use the booger. That is just plain embarrassing.
