Looking to use lead core for the first time and rather than but new rods if the St Croix Tidemaster TIC76MM rods I have for long line trolling would work OK.
    Your opinions would be appreciated.

    Thank you

It will work for smaller cranks ie #5 flickers or raps. Overall though, that action is a bit soft for leadcore in my opinion. Most leadcore actions are medfast or med heavy fast. The tidemaster is my favorite 3-way bait and or longlining rod.

Dean just sold my father a Jason Mitchel for my b-day present. I got it today and need to get it out on the water!

Just ordered two Jason Mitchell 5′ lead core rods. Can’t wait to get them and give them a go.
