Does anyone with a fiberglass boat have these? The company only recommends the use with fiberglass boats up to 1500 lbs. I have a Stratos 190FS which probably weighs a few hundred more pounds than that. Just looking for feedback either way.

Here is something that is cheaper and very effective. Get a can of pure silicone spray. When you are out boating let your trailer bake in the sun and dry. Come in and spray the whole can of silicone into your bunk carpets. Let dry in the sun some more. Be careful, at first it will seem like you have a new roller trailer. It will slide right off. It will lose a bit of it’s slipperyness after while but will still be easier to launch in shallow water. Kind of a happy medium. I do it every season. It can be a pain at first trying to unhook the boat on a steep launch. Never unhook unless over the water first. Same rules as a roller trailer.

Guys on Walleye Central and BBC tried them and even the lighter glass boats really had some serious scratching from them and stopped using them. Spray silicone and dunk the bunks in the water before loading really helps with my 621.

It works great! I used it years ago on my Stratos 219F and was amazing how well it worked. Of course first attempt I dropped the boat in the sand at Whipolt Beach landing on Leech. Man oh man it really slid of the trailer easy.
