I have a 2005 classic 125 2 stroke that idles at almost 1100 RPM’s and really seems to bang into gear when shifting. Wondering if there is a simple way to adjust the idle or if this is where it is supposed to be. On a happier side got out on Zumbro yesterday and caught 20-25 bluegill and Crappie. A lot of them were a keepable size of 9 to 10 inches on the Crappie and about 8 inches on some of the bluegill. All were released just out for fun. Saw a ton of carp and also some nice sized bass but could not get them to hit. I caught the bluegill and crappie on a maroon mini mite tipped with a wax worm. Thanks in advance for any help on the motor.

Pull the hood off and see if the throttle carb linkage is going all the way back too where it rests on the idle adjustment screw. If it does not rest on the screw, you then will have to adjust the cable so it presses the carb linkage back to the screw. It is just a matter of turning the adjuster in or out on the throttle cable. If this is not it, adjust the idle screw on the carb linkage to set rpms. It will only be one screw to adjust. If you look at the setup it will be easy to figure out how to adjust.
