I maybe looking to replace my cranking battery in my boat any recomendations. My boat is a lund pro-sport and the area the battery goes is kind of cramped it is under the splash well and it is hard to get in and out. I would like a battery that wont break the bank. I would like to try to keep the cost under $100 bucks if that is possible.

For under $100 you can get an Interstate 24 series 800 cold crank starting/charging Marine deep cycle battery. I just bought a 1,000 CC but it was a tad over $100.

I would also check to see what you recommended cc amps for your motor are. Then go from there.

Speccifically, try to find their 27M-XHD version, I got mine at Gander last year for right at $100. If you’re a Sams Club member, they carry the SRM-29 combo for even a little less, and it has more reserve capacity.

I went with the 24m xhd a 1000 cold cranckin amp battery for a total cost of $104 dollars. the group 27 battery would not fit under my splash well. The battery that came with boat was a 550 amp fleet farm marine starting battery.
