I just fished an open bass tournament out of PDC this past weekend. After a good finish in the tournament i left for home a happy camper and felt good about the results. Only until i got home and found out one of the rod/reel combos on the front of my deck gone. The weigh in was at the st feriol island marina in Prairie du Chien, WI and its setup where guys will park their rigs on the side of the street and take their fish out there to weigh in. I’m guessing it got ripped off in the time i was standing over at the weigh in weighing our fish and watching everyone else weigh their fish. The worst part about it is it was my best combo i had, a quantum kinetic and a Powell 765 SBR rod, there goes $300 bucks. Hope the guy feels good about himself and has fun with his new rod just thought id share

Sadly this sort of thing seams to happen to just about everybody has happened to me. I never could fully understand why someone would jack fishing stuff. Envy? Sorry for your loss. Perhaps your next combo will catch more and bigger fish. And hopefully some door slams on your stolen rod.

Call me old fashioned, but the spirit of fishing has little to do with thievery or deception. Why steal someone else’s combo? I wish this person overwhelming guilt every time he/she looks at or uses YOUR rod. I guess bad people live in nice places like PDC too.

I know this won’t make you feel much better, but I too lost a $250 combo last year. My wife was sitting next to me walleye fishing and the gnats were all over her. As she swatted the fleas she swatted my Shimano rig out of her other hand right into 30 ft of water. I (eventually) forgave her once I realized the it’s all just stuff.
Nobody was injured and I have more stuff.

urine Poor. I made the mistake of leaving my G. Loomis IMX/ Shimano stradic combo in my boat(in my driveway) one night, some punk took it. I left another rod propped up against the boat for all the world to see the next night, praying he would return, no luck
