    Hey Guys,

    Happy day before the opener!

This post is a little different from Haywoods post yesterday. I read through that and others but I need to get a little more specific and I’m looking for advice.

Main ingredients that I need with a locater is this:

1.When it shows a fish I NEED to know that it’s actually a fish! (I could be in a pool with the one I have now and it lights up like there are hundreds down there)

2.Need GPS with lake chip capability.

    3. Water temp, speed,,etc. basics

    4. Somewhere around $500 – $600 bucks.

I’ve done some research but I’m looking for some user opinions out here and why you like what you have. ANY HELP IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!!!

ps. I only go after Walleyes. Nothing else.

You may want to look at the info on buying and interpreting a fish finder at:
    Fishin’ Web Home Page
The interpreting info is some of the best I have seen.

I have the HB 788ci. It is right around $600. It has the GPS, speed, temp and reads nice little arcs when I am over fish now that I have ti dialed in an positioned right (thanks to the IDO guys) If you’re outside Iowa Jolly Ann will be your best bet. Free shipping and no sales tax.
