Just ran across this artificial Leech called SLIMERS. I was at a tackle shop today and the owner just got these in. He emptied them out on the table out of the sealed vial they come in and they looked almost real! They were slithering all around.Never saw anything like this before. He said hes really starting to sell them now that walleye season is opened here. They come in different sizes and different colors. I may just be back there in the morning! Theres some vids out on them on YouTube also he said. A little pricey ( depends on size) but nowadays fishing isn’t a cheap Sport anymore!!!!!

I’ve never used them or heard of them before. Here’s one of the videos I found on youtube.

Wow.. 6 1/2 minutes… I was waiting for them to show how strong they are, in other words, how easy does a hook pull out ??? They never showed… that is a HUGE question I have for them….. how spendy are they ?????

I hear ya G! After about 3 minutes I had to bail on that video. I thought I was on an endless loop of the last minute of every “Fishing with Virgil Ward” show..

I have used them, but I am not the fondest of them. They work good if you have them with and don’t want to mess around with live bait. They also are about as durable as a live leech.

My partner was using them while dragging last week and they fell apart quickly.

Pretty funny video to watch. How “active” can you make artificial eggs look… very “intense” video lol

This reminds me of something Uncle Josh sold a product called a black widow eel back in the 80s. They came in 6″ – 9″ versions. Pork rind on a weed less hook with a split shot it was deadly in the weeds for bucket mouths. If I remember correctly it was about the same time the jig-n-pig made its debut. BTW pork rind is very tough so unless you get snagged or broke off you could fish with it all day, no wonder they are not sold any more.

they’ve been out for quite some time now…maybe 5 years or so??? anyway, I bought a pile of them way back when thinking it would be the ticket on a drop shot. thats a negatory. never caught a fish on em.
