Not a veteran at running leadcore but I knew I could fit ten colors of 18 lb test on my depthmaster gold 30 reels of cabellas brand line. They quit making it, what other brand of leadcore line is good for you guys? Was also wondering if every company repeats the color sequence after ten colors so I might be able to save a couple of bucks and buy 2-200 yard spools? Thanks.

I’ve been through almost all of the leadcore lines on the market over the years. Sufix introduced a great leadcore line for 2010, and that has made its way onto all of my reels. So far, I’m VERY happy with the results.

According to the Cabela’s website “lead” leadcore is no longer available in 18#. It looks like I’ll have to give Suffix a try once this wears out.

Thanks fellas, 4 spools of 15 # test suffix it was for me. Good input and what the hell was Cabellas thinking?

My thoughts exactly. I was told tonight at their store that they did away with their line of leadcore. Sounds like somethin they’d do.
