McNabb has one year left on his contract. Favre in 2010 and McNadd in 2011.

HAHAHAHA Just saw this on ESPN and was coming on to write about it… WEIRD… Favre needs ankle surgery and the Vikes passed on McNabb when they had the chance because they thought Favre was coming back That a boy Favre!!! Way to hold off on the news to put the Vikes right back to where they started… with no qb

Favre is only going through the surgery because his prescription expired
Don’t count the tough coot out yet, I agree with big G…..he’ll be heeled and playin’ after camp.

    Alright Alright Alright….Everyone calm down.

It’s very clear as to what’s going on here. I highly doubt that Favre JUST found out that he would need surgery in order to play football again. Much like his shoulder last year, he will have this surgery done soon so he has enough time to correctly heal before the opener. Most likely we won’t hear about it until weeks after. And yes, why not come up with a reason to miss training camp?

If you were the old guy in your profession, needs all the rest you can get in the offseason,,and just came off one of your best years ever,,,,wouldn’t you do the same thing? I don’t get why everyone bashes him for not wanting to be at training camp. I for one don’t want him there. WHy make the season another 4-6 weeks long for the guy than it already is?

As for the draft,, who cares. Like there won’t be 5 more rook QB’s at the draft next year. The draft at best is all a guessing game anyways.

    Just sayin’

I know Viking fans are slow , but you don’t notice the pattern here? He said it is a difficult decision to have the surgery or to retire. He said the same thing last year about his arm. And don’t forget about the 5 years he said the same thing to the Packers that he was thinking of retiring. Did you guys really forget that this is who he is? In the next week or so he will announce his retirement. Then he will have the surgery (assuming he really needs it) and will magically be ready the week before the season starts.

The difference is, Vikings fans know his game…. Cheeseheads didn’t catch on it when he was with them and they don’t even get it now ???? Has he ever missed a season when he has retired ???? NOPE. I figured out his pattern immediately. Do I wish I could have missed conditioning weeks before the actual football season started ??? You bet !!! He has figured out the game and the game inside the game Wily old fox Go Brett !!! 4ever

G…I think you are dead on on this one!!! It is almost getting predictable now… And on top of that, Chili said he has been in contact with Brett a bunch the last month or two. He knows this will put out any fires caused from not attending training camp while healthy. Anyone betting the surgery isn’t even truly needed to play next year… I’m just saying…

maybe if he went to training camp he could learn how to count how many guys are actually in the huddle!

No, he can’t take his shoes off in the huddle. They don’t teach anything above 10 in Mississippi normally for this reason. The good news is, with the north’s schedule, if he doesn’t come back. We will get a nice high draft choice next year.

I was hopin they would try to get big ben but they still have rosenfels. It is not lost on me that his previous teammate is #7 on the above list.

I was actually hoping they would get offensive linemen. It would be nice to be able to run the ball against decent teams.

Didn’t “our guy” do that basically from his back? Pretty impressive with zero offensive line. Favre had Peterson and basically an all star cast behind (or should I say in front?) of him..

Anyway, good luck this weekend during the opener, Packer fans.

Viking fans only have to wait another 342 hours (thats about 20,500 minutes or 1.23 million seconds) until their opener…. Almost time enough to have and recover from an ankle surgury…

    Go Pack!

McNaab?????? Really????? You would rather have him over Favre? C’mon, I’m embarrassed for anyone who thinks that.
