Blowgun wielding woman arrested
A 41-year-old woman faces a charge of reckless endangerment after she allegedly hit people with blow darts in a shooting spree in downtown Stevens Point.
Police said Paula Wolf of Plover confessed, saying she “liked to hear people say ouch.”
A 25-year-old victim told police she was walking Wednesday when she felt something hit her chest. And within a half hour, three other people told police the same thing. None were seriously hurt.
One of the victims saw a dart being shot out the window of a minivan. Police stopped the driver and said they found a blowgun, a sling-shot and a bucket of rocks inside.
Officers said Wolf tried to it a group of people who were smoking outside a business when the dart missed them and broke the glass. She also reportedly admitted trying to break the windows of a Portage County sheriff’s car with a sling-shot. That apparently didn’t succeed, either.
