IDO Web Issues

When I pull up IDO, the upper right hand corner says “Welcome ______” and it has another users name. When I click on “My Home” it prompts me to login as me and all is well. Intermittently.. the home page will display topics that were posted months ago. I cleared cookies via IDO and on my internet explorer. Any ideas?

Not sure if it matters but the other persons name is someone that works in the same office as me.. Could be the site is recognizing us as the same because we share the same servers? No clue.

I was gonna say cookies – but looked like you already tried that.

Try logging in – once it brings you back to the main page – hit F5 to refresh the page. Let me know if that works.

Here’s the posts on the upper left which appear to be dated 3/31/2010. F5 makes it all better until the next time I login.

I have had similar issues only it is always logged in as me. I do show old posts in the upper left as you have noted though. They are not when i am on the main page rather when i go into the forums the old ones show up. Then if i click to read a certain forum it goes back to the current posts. really wierd.

For me, the banner which is usually under ‘Welcome CatchnRelease…Logout?’ is missing. That’s the only problem I’m having so I’m leaving it alone.

Still sounds like a cookie issue to me. However, I do believe IDO has been doing some work recently – so if you have taken the steps of clearing your cookies, just be patient as it should be fixed soon.

This is a cookie issue that can occur when two different accounts are accessed from the same machine or the same account is accessed from two different machines, both trying to be logged in at the same time.

    Try clearing your cookies with:

If your using Firefox you can try running “Private Browsing” for a bit. That’s under Tools > Start Private Browsing in the menu bar.

    IE6:
Tools > Internet Options > Delete Cookies
Tools > Internet Options > Delete Files

If anyone is still using IE6 I urge you to upgrade to IE8 if possible. Or give Firefox, Opera or Google’s Chrome a try if upgrading to IE8 isn’t an option. Google’s Chrome is a very fast browser.
