My daughter saw it out the window and told me there was a huge bunch of lightning flashes. I thought she was nuts because there were no storms anywhere close. Found out this morning that she isn’t nuts when I read the story. At the end of the story in this link there is a video link to a cop car dash camera that caught it. Pretty cool.
Saw it while walking home from my night class right about 10:15. Didn’t make any sense until I read the news this AM.
We saw if driving back from a play in downtown Milwaukee. The colors and bright light made it look like something from Close Encounters.

I didn’t see is but I heard it, sounded like thunder,I thought it was a truck using his jake brake outside of town.
Holy schnikeys. That dashcam video shows it well. Really lit up the sky.

Awesome, I saw it…it was freaky cool, it was so big that I knew it couldn’t have been fireworks otherwise I would have heard it. I opened my window and didn’t hear anything…
Hell Yes it hit not too far away (Howard County). I spilled my drink and about jumped out of my shorts after that BANG went off. It shook the whole house
Just another cover up. I woke up this morning missing 15 hours worth of memory and my backside is sore. Them’s aliens are some sick sob’s.
Should have saw from the cockpit of the plane. We were about 30,000ft just a little north of Omaha. Amazing how the sky lit up like day time. The trail was super long followed by a very bright expolsion at the end.
Now it all makes sense!! My wife said she saw something fall from the sky and then the sky lit up light lightning. Very cool
I saw it while sitting at the dining table helping my wife work on homework. I would have been looking southeast out of my sliding glass door. Very green glowing, with very gold showers out of the tail. I was in awe, she was jealous that she didn’t see it. 
Yep. I was out bullhead fishing with a buddy. Craziest thing I have seen in a long time. The sky lit up like daytime except green. We watched it fly behind the clouds until it eventually exploded. I had no idea what it was right away. It gave us a bit of a start. On a side note, the bullheads and channel cats are starting to hit, along with dogfish

Not sure if it was the same one but I saw a huge one last nite, huge long green tail follew by one big flash and 2 smaller flashes after it fell out of site, the odd pert is I was driving south near Black Duck MN when I saw it, wonder if I could be the same one? This thing was HUGE!
I was somewhere near Grant and Iowa counties in WI. The same one most likely…
