Trying to find a used 4 stroke motor

Hello –

My father in law has been trying to find a used 4 stroke motor for his pontoon. Looking for a 25-30 HP with counsil steering. Does anyone have a good place to look besides Craigslist? Any info would be great. I don’t think he cares if it’s yamaha, Mercury, Honda, etc.

Does he already have a motor on the pontoon, or does the pontoon already have the cables run for a specific motor? I would dbl check that first, before you find a motor you like then have to recable the pontoon.

Yes, he has an old Johnson motor on the pontoon already.

Pinewood sports. Just north of the border. They have a lot of used and refurbished motors and are very familiar with shipping them.

Check with Hallberg Marine in Wyoming Mn.

In the past they did a bunch of business with the resorts and always had late model motors available.
