So I work as a Paramedic and some times I work a 24hr shift. So this morning I come home and notice something on my wife’s car. It was a powder and looked like someone poured it on there. So I thought well funny but just in case I will do a report with the county Police in-case it hurt the paint. Then I get to looking around a little more, someone cut my boat cover with a razor blade and stole the fire extinguisher and discharged it all over the car, and several other cars throughout town. So now I’M PISSED. Got the cover about 2 months ago and it was one of the nice ones from cabals. And it will fall under my home owners and not my boat insurance so the deductible is more than I paid for it. So with a 10 month old baby at home. It is officially time to start looking for a new house away from the quad cities. THIS is the SECOND time someone had messed with my boat. Last time I lost a little over a thousand dollars in equipment.

You don’t want sympathy, you want revenge. I can only give you the first one.

    Good luck getting the latter.

I’d look into small towns near work or even in the country well off the highways.

I’m in the country but close to a highway and I still jump up and look every time I hear somebody slowing down. Most of the time they are slowing down till the darned deer get out of the way.

Course, I don’t trust anyone around here anyway.

One good thing about what you do for a living is that there are hospitals in many nice small towns if you choose to move? Dogs are good too, got one? Trail cams too can be helpful. Catch the b*stard and post his address. Post your cover size here, I also may have something for you.

Sorry to hear that. I would set up the trail cam in the meantime and then go out looking out looking for the dumb once I knew what he looked like.

    That stinks.

Option 1-move and get a garage.
Option 2-plug in an extra baby monitor and keep it in the boat-then call police if you hear them (this is the best and most intelligent option)-disclaimer.
Option 3-Extra baby monitor-bust them and then beat the out of them and then call police.

2 is the best option, 3 is most rewarding.

There are a lot of places you can hide a 2 foot section of 1/2″ conduit. Just sayin.

maybe set up a trail cam to see your boat, people have been using them with good success.
