Paint peeling on Lunds

    I bought a new 2003 Lund fisherman, within the first month the paint was peeling. Has anyone else seen this problem?

    I’m not sure about why, nor have I heard any other folks who have had similar problems. I would assume that Lund would have some kind of paint warranty on this. I’d contact your dealer.

    A lot of people are having this problem. It was actually a default in the paint provided to Lund. Lund is taking all boats back, no questions asked and fixing the problem. Bad thing is, you may be out of a boat for a while.

    Bigeyes,

    Is the peeling paint specific to a color batch or a certain boat model? Just asking since I have a 2003 Lund Angler SS and have not seen any problems…. just want to know if it may affect me down the road.

    I was a sporadic problem from a sub- contractors paint. Not all boats were effected but those that were, were all makes and models.
