    the FW just took this pic this morning on her phone and sent it to me. the front left tire is through the ice, and the guy was no where to be found.

    I bet it was stolen and that is where they dumped it after there joy ride, even if that is the case still pretty stupid.

    I live in Buffalo. The deal with the truck is that it is a fundraiser. You buy a ticket and guess the day and hour that it goes down. It has no engine, tranny, anything that would hurt the lake. There is a giant sign explaining all of this on shore right where this photo was taken from so the photographer must have missed it.

    Also it is only about 200 yards from shore — directly in front of the access so it can be easily towed in. There is a big bouy attached to it with a chain as well.

    I was wondering the same thing about it being a fund raiser.

    Yes it’s a fundraiser for guessing when it falls thru. They do the same thing on Cass lake right off the highway by the rest stop.

    There are signs posting what it is for and they are not small. As you drive by the lake(where you can see it from) There is a large Banner hanging on the fence explaining what it is all about.

    A club in menomonie has a car out on menomin too, but i have never heard somebody freak out about it… pretty funny.
