What type of screws to use on aluminum hull

    I’m adding some more rod holders to my aluminum hull boat. Which type of screws are you supposed to use? I know some coatings and metals can react with the alumiminum. Thanks guys.

    Agree on Stainless Steel. I also add a bit of silicone to the screw to help keep it tight form vibration issues.

    FWIW
    I’ve always used stainless nuts and bolts for my rod holders, with a 3/16 or 1/4″ aluminum backing plate, little locktite on the threads and they’ll stay tight.
