Woke up to a beautiful morning. Called my buddy, picked him up and headed for Target Field. Thought it might be nice to see the place. I will say this………………WOW!! They did quite the job with that stadium. Everything was locked up and you couldn’t get in but looking through the gates you couldn’t help but be impressed by the place. (Much better then I ever expected out of the bankers. )

Now, when it comes time to buy the souvenirs be sure to bring cash, bunches of cash. Cheap hats are $25 hoodies $69 & up, tee shirts $49 i think. Oh, and remember the really, really bad Twins teams with Powder Blue jerseys? Yep, they got ’em!!

Ended up buying a hat and 2 flags, one each for the house and up at the lake.

If you haven’t driven down there yet, get going it is a fun place to see.

I am pumped to go down and watch a game in the new stadium. It should be fun. From what I’ve seen, it’s a first class stadium. The ticket office was crazy yesterday. I spent a couple hours online trying to get a few tickets and finally gave up and started dialing the phone. It took me about 30 minutes to get through and I got the tickets I was hoping to get. As far as buying Twins gear, I think I’ll be shopping elsewhere! Should be a fun year not only with the stadium, but the team looks pretty darn good too!

Last week I delivered season tickets to 3 different people, 1 guy hugged me at the door, he was so excited for them. I remember the Met, outdoor baseball is a good thing.

I was down there working for a couple of months late last year. I was brought up going to met stadium for twins/vikes. It has a great feel to it. You feel much closer to the field
at target. It’s going to be a great place to watch a game. I ran into Mauer and Morneau a couple of times. The light rail pulls right up to the north side, might be a good option, the way traffic is downtown.

I got really lucky and ended up splitting some season tickets with a couple of coworkers – 18 rows back right behind home plate. Some games I will even get 4 seats so it will be nice to be able to take the whole family.
Finally – outside baseball in MN is back!

I plan on coming up for a couple of game. What we always did before was stay in a motel out by the mall ( to keep the wife busy )and take the train to the dome, is that still an option, not real sure where they built the new one. Thanks for any info.

It took me about a half-hour Saturday to get through to buy a couple tickets for a game in June. The C.P. & I will be hopping on the North Star train to Target Field-they’re running game-day trains for 53 different games this year. Check out the 3-D views of the ball-park, it looks pretty sharp.

We get to take in a game on April 18th when my kid and the rest of his fellow 5th Graders from Red Pine Elementary get to sing the National Anthem before the game. Hopefully the weather cooperates.

Sorry for the late reply but will be down there tomorrow (Friday). Our ticket package gets us an appreciation day there from 4-8 pm including guided tours of the stadium. I’ll take some pics and post them up this weekend.

Going to be awesome watching the games outside!!
