I’ll be using it for casting and finesse fishing…..a multipurpose reel.

I have two Quantum Accurist. Have a flipping switch which I really like. No problems with either of them.

I have been running the Quantums for the last few years as the standard equipment in my boat. Love them! The Quantum Catalyst was on sale at Cabelas for $99. Reg 149. I have the Quantum Accurist PT’s and have beat the snot out of them. Still smooth as could be

I have 4 Quantum Accurist low profile baitcasters that I use for live bait rigging, and some casting. The reels are relatively inexpensive ($99) yet offer a flipping switch that adds versatility to the reel. Not many baitcasters offer this feature but if you decide to use it for vertical jigging on the river, it’s awesome for adjusting depth as you drift.

I also have a Quantum Pro 2 with the flipping switch.

    Great feature to have

I seem to allways pick up the rods with the revo’s on them. The black revo’s are my first choice.

As many already said, its hard to beat the quantums for the money. I just got the new Quantum Kinetic which retails for $120, havnt used it yet but im sure it will be smooth as can be if its anything like my other quantums. The Catalyst deal at cabelas is a steal too, if u have a cabelas visa card i think you can actually get one for $90

    I agree but he has a $100 limit…which(unfortunately) excludes the REVO…

The Accurist PT’s are selling for under $100 & are silky smooth. I beleive for under $100 it would be hard to find another reel comparable with the flipping switch option. I have had 3 of them for 2 years but primarily use 2 for rigging & 1 for pitching. So far no problems.
