I’ve messed around with one of these at Bass Pro. They are deffinately a good idea, but when it comes to tournament time for me, I’ll take my Beckman.
I always carry 2 nets at tournaments. This might make a good backup net to help reduce tripping hazards in the boat.

I played with one of these at Gander, like Ben said, nice idea but I found it very difficult to slide it in and out and to deploy. Needs a little more work to make it operate smoothly, it takes some strong arms to deploy it.

Seen that too and thought it was a good idea. I was wondering if it would hold up to big fish. Just can’t see it being that strong with the joints in it. Guess somebody is just gonna have to try it. Also it would have to deploy fast and easy. You wouldn’t want someone messing around trying to get it out when you had a big fish at the side of the boat.

I messed around with one of these at Gander the other day. It’s a great idea, but is very difficult to extend, and to draw the net back into the handle. I’d say it needs some work to make it a viable product.
