Pool 4 conditions late April

    Looking for info on “normal” water conditions (water levels, debris, bass locations, etc) for late April. Any speculations as to this year’s forecast? Most likely staying in pool 4. Thanks for any help.

    late april is usually high muddy water, leaves sticks trees floating down river, usually pretty tough for fishing in general. the closer you get to may the better the fishing is usually

    and speculation it will be… undoubtably the water will be high and whenever the water is high there is debris and caution is needed. When the roller dam is open there can be whole uprooted trees coming down the river.
    The fishing can be good though…as White Bass and other species start to do their thing…The Walleye/Sauger spawn will likely be done but there will still be plenty hungry post spawn fish upriver…and big fish at the head of Lake Pepin.
