I see there is a Gamehide promo going on. Being that I’m in the market for a good rainsuit, this is one brand I had some interest in. Is the Typhoon series comparable to Cabela’s Guidewear? It appears that it is about half the price, so I’m a little concerned that it might not perform as well. One thing I’ve learned with rain gear is that you usually get what you pay for. I’ve had many that have developed leaks, usually in the crotch/rear end seam. Guess I’m just looking for a little direction before I plunk down big dollars on another suit.

yeah, what G said. I have had a few other sets in the past and have gotten wet in all of them. I have yet to get wet in my Typhoon series. I have been told that you will eventually need to “re-waterproof” them, but I haven’t hit that point yet and its been about three years. I wear them a lot too.

Practically the same shell as the 100MPH series…You have seen me several times out in subfreezing weather on the River in my blue Parka, Black bibs with only a fleece layer underneath (below pic). Awesome stuff, as the guys before me commented. Blocks the wind like a brick house!
The sale is a Promo for reintroducing the Typhoon line…the Parka and Bibs a couple years ago were considerably more expensive and I just looked at a new one and they look the same. I LOVE mine!

    Guys,
Thx for the great feedback. It appears there are not to many negatives to this stuff. Mendota stated that in time you might have to re-waterproof this, and was wondering how you would accomplish this? Also wondering if the 20% comes off the listed price, or is it already reflected in the price?
Hey Tom, if I get this outfit will it increase my chances of netting a hog like that….. nice fish!
