I’m wiring my boat for a transom vanage transom troller and I want it to be a plug in install. My front troller has a 2 pin plug. The vantage is a 24v also but it also needs a 12v wire for the up, down motor. Does some one make a 3 pin plug? Also anyone else put a transom troller on a alumacraft navigator? I’m wondering where to put the plug. Ive seen them up high on the transom in the carpet but Id like to hide it a little more than that. Any one ever put them up high in the splashwell?

I just wired up on of these for a friend. He had a 4 prong socket on the back of his boat. We connected the 2 24volt wires and 1 12 to the plug in and left one empty.

    Mine is in the splashwell.

I purchased the boat rigged that way.

Yes they have a 3 prong plug and that is what I used. Make sure you have the correct voltages going to the right places or you will fry your Vantages board.

I mounted mine in my 175 Nav tiller up on the carpeted corner cover. Fish lectronics got me set up with proper recepticle. I remember it being kind of goofy to wire. The key is to wire just like your bow is wired. Both of my units use same bank. PM with any questions or if you want some pics.

You can get the male/female 3 prong connectors at Gander Mt.

Thanks for all the answers. Im a electrician so the wiring shouldnt be a problem. I think im going to put the plug in the splashwell also. I looked at the Gander in Lakeville and didnt see one but I had the wife with. My buddy said they have them at cabelas but were spendy. Anyways Thanks fot the help.
