Looks like we just may get something done with the quality of the lake. A fishing pier, some dredgeing, and possibly a temperary drawdown to promote aqua plants to grow instead of the algae that we get now.
However we will be needing some money to make this happen. So what I am asking is that if anyone knows a company or private citzen that would be willing to look at the possibility of donating to the lake project I would appreciate an email or give them my email. If you know anyone who owns pumps capable of drawing down the lake, dredging, or helping build handicap assess to the fishing pier (labor, equipment, supplies) anything would help. We are looking at a price tag of around $125,000 which can be lowered if we can get donations as I noted above. The East Hastings Improvement Association has agreed to contribute a sizable amount but no where near what we need.
We are targeting the Summer of 2005 to complete these upgrades to the lake.
