glad to have him at least he can hold onto the ball lol
The Bears fans should tickled to have him. A healthy player and he doesn’t drop the rock. Hopefully their O-line can open some gaps for him.

Looks like they’ll be adding Julius Peppers to the mix as well.

Bryant McKinnie will be $hitting eggshells now
He did that anyway! He’s terrible! Can you get much bigger and not move?March 5, 2010 at 8:07 pm #849769Sorry I’m not a fan Yeah I’m glad he’s a solid player, and even happier the Vikings lost him, but I HATE seeing players go to a divisional rival.
Oh well better get use to it I guess. BRing on that Viking Run D now suckers!
March 5, 2010 at 8:10 pm #849773Now this one I can get into! peppers just signed 6 years 40 Million!!! Bring on #4
March 5, 2010 at 8:15 pm #849682Chester Taylor will look great in a Bears Uniform. Will get his jersey for my buddy in Duluth for his wedding.
March 5, 2010 at 8:17 pm #849776nah, ol’ waffle fries will lay down and give up the sack like Peppers is Strahan instead of getting trucked again, I dont think hes forgot the saints D yet.
March 5, 2010 at 8:20 pm #849778Awe Crap! I just realized my Fantasy QB is SCREWED NOW!!!! Rodgers can’t take those hits all day long.
March 5, 2010 at 8:36 pm #849785I think the Bears have improved with these 3 signings today although I am not sold on the TE idea. I’m just curious to see what else happens to make room in the payroll for all this. And, we still need some OL help, safety help and maybe a WR. I do like the young wideouts we have but…
March 5, 2010 at 8:41 pm #849790They desperately need one solid receiver, but they are going to have to trade for that. Nothing really in the Free agent market. Wouldn’t be shocked at all if they packaged up Forte and Olsen actually for a WR.

I agree need to improve the o line and WR area but another great pick up for the bears would be Aaron Kampman!!!!
hndPosts: 1579March 5, 2010 at 9:21 pm #849818the bears are making good moves but there are too many moves needed by the bears to make them a contender this year.
i’m not a martz fan but i agree with him in regards to TE’s. most pass catching TE’s are crappy blockers. gates, witten, gonzo all are subpar. they are basically receivers…if so why not put a receiver out there. i understand tricking the defense but id rather have a receiver.
i assume they’ll trade olsen for either a pick or a player.
they still have 2 huge holes on this team. safetys and OL. that they have to shore up. WR’s are bad too but usable.
Aromashadu i touted early in the season as needed to get pt. and whne he did he shined. i’m not saying he’s a #1 wr yet but he can be. get hester out of there and move him back to doing what his peabrained noggin can handle…returning kicks. move A-shadu and knox to your #1 and #2 guy and run bennett in the slot.
it would be nice to have a vet wr in the mix too but they will probably have to overpay. if noone picks up marshalls tender, the bears have a shot at him….but we’ll see. .they are already spending some bucks…
next year is a make or break year for the staff….if no playoffs then they are done. i still don’t see them being better than the packers or the vikings though.

If the Pack doesn’t protect Rodgers better the Vikes, Bears, and Pack will be very closely matched teams…

I don’t see the being better than the Pack. That’s if they don’t even make a move to save Rodgers from getting killed. The Vikings. Well that one I think they just pulled even to, or at least close. I’m sorry but there is NO WAY Favre can have the same year he had last year. And even less so now that Peppers is going to be chasing him around the feild for 2 games a year!
hndPosts: 1579March 5, 2010 at 9:34 pm #849832i think they worked out most of that. still not great but he was sacked a total of 7 times in his last 6 games.
that line fell apart in the playoffs though…but they were alot better the last half of the season.

Are you friggin serious??? You actually think those moves made them even with the vikes???
They added 2 players on the back 3/4 of their careers. Gimme a break…
March 5, 2010 at 11:34 pm #849887Great….I suppose Kleinsausage will be AP’s back-up now!
Who was the #3 back anyway?
March 5, 2010 at 11:50 pm #849894I like chester. He could be the #1 receiver next year. He was really underplayed imo. I guess you don’t need two RBs if you don’t have a running game………………….
Still, it’s sad to see them get rid of the one that caught passes and didn’t fumble. I know why but still sad.

That just sucks!! Oh well bring on LT at least he can catch!!
Little did I know at the time but heard on the news tonight that he is planning on a visit!! AP and LT in the same backfield? I know he is in the later part of his career but I think it would be a great replacement for Chester!

He would be an interesting replacement. I don’t know I think it’s one of those better in theory kind of things. I mean he’s not a blocking back and Chester was a good blocking back when needed, and he’s not the 3rd down back Taylor was either. But if he can handle being the 3rd star on the offense 4th maybe on the team, and moving him to a 3rd down back keeps him “fresh” It COULD be a scary thing.
I hope Favre doesn’t get picked off tossing him the ball to end the season. Wait a second YES I DO>
March 10, 2010 at 6:43 pm #851814I wonder how LT and AP would mesh? Remember LT slamming AP as “He’s not near as great as I am” statement???
