Since we’ve been on a slightly negative shopping experience roll, I thought I would start a thread going in the opposite direction.

Anyone have a positive experience in the last 90 days?

    I’ll start off with…

JollyAnn Marine. Decided on what was going to be used at the Sturgeon Excursion and two days later a marine stereo was sitting my my office when I came home.

Kwickset Locks AKA Black and Decker. I bought a touch pad dead bolt for our backdoor close to 10 years ago. It went on the fritz. When looking up the part for replacement on line I found it had a lifetime warrenty on the electronics. Easy-cheesy phone call and a few days later had a brand spanking new lock set minus the finish wear!

Lunch time! But I’ll be back.

I always appreciate the warning, thanks!

You’re right, a co-worker’s flat screen monitor went out about a week ago at a time of the morning when it would do the utmost damage, but fortunately a quick check showed it under warranty, and in less than a week a nice new one was here from the factory
gotta love it when a plan comes together, and the nice part, not only a new replacement, but a larger than original model nice work Dell

Yep, just got back from Strike Master. Fisrt time ever to the facility.

I was due for a new set of blades and that was all I wanted and expected. Walked in and handed them my auger and was out the door for $27. That included the instal of new blades, flame singed the pull rope of frayes, sprayed graphite inside the throttle cable, lubes the recoil, reset the pitch of the blades and out the door in about 20 minutes.

Well spend 27 bucks in my opinion.

    Tuesday 3/2/10

Sparta Piggly Wiggly, 3 Large Lobster tails at an all time low price of 12 bucks each. Man did they eat good

Sparta Foss Fine Meats, Walked in looking for 3 T-Bones to go with the tails. No T-Bones this time of year because of a low demand during the winter months. They showed me 3 Rib Eyes that were huge and very pleasing to the eye, all 3 for 13 bucks…..yummy!!!

We just love our small town local stores

PS: If you do stop into Foss’s, make sure you get a pound of there hot dogs….they are to die for

    …. The Amish.

I had a large downed cherry tree in my backyard thats been sitting there for the last 5 years. I cut it into 8 foot sections and hauled it to the mill. I had about 140 board feet of cherry milled and planed in under 2 hours for $50. Thought that was a good deal.

… Menards (EC) has been good to me lately. Helpful employees when advice is needed.

… Seven (Sushi restaraunt in Minneapolis) had excellent service (not to mention incredible food) a few weeks ago…

I placed an order at catfish connection and I had it in hand 2 days later. I placed one at cabelas the same day an it took them 3 more days to deliver. CC has the best prices on many things of great use to catfishing people. I also found they had the least expensive 3 oz bouncers anywhere and Sonny’s by the pail. They are not a sponsor of mine I just love their service and selection and prices on ugly sticks can’t be beat either.

I had a great experience w/ Dean from Everts today. So much so, I have a new Mojo Bass rod on the way to me today. The entire ordeal was handled over the phone in a very friendly and professional manner. I even got to keep my cookies.

Although I forgot to ask if the ramps are open.

I’d also like to thanks Scott from Bob’s Bait & Tackle. He always greets me at the door and sells me some of the areas best bait. He’s even quick with a tip on a hot bite or bait.

His swim jigs aren’t too bad either.

One thing I forgot to include….

I’d like to thank the mgmt. from the Tilted Kilt for having such a courteous and professional waitstaff. The food was awesome as were the adult beverages. Too bad Madison wasn’t so far away, I’d eat there more often. Two BIG from this guy.

Minn Kota: Customer service took 3 minutes to respond to an e-mail question I sent in.

Evert’s: Dean hooked me up with some rod holders and a Pflueger Arbor.

Jolly Ann Marine: Wade sent me a part I needed ASAP and told me to mail the payment when I could.

L&M Fleet Supply in Grand Rapids: Had a chainsaw that burnt up the clutch that wasn’t made anymore. The head mechanic had the same saw at home with a cooked engine. He brought it in from home and got my saw up and running.
