Need a little help team IDO. I took my Vexilar in to Scheel’s yesterday and had them replace a battery clip. I got it back, and like a dummy never tried it when I was there. Now, my battery power indicator isn’t working, and when I turn it on it runs but no lights on the flasher. Anyone have any ideas on what’s causing it and if the wiring on the clip has anything to do with it? Appreciate any advice.

What kind of shape is your battery in? Sounds like a dead battery to me. Try a new battery and I bet she lights right up.

Both the – and the + should have 2 wires each crimped in the terminal connections. It’s possible one of the wires is not striped enough and not making contact in the crimped part of the terminal (battery connector) Did they go from blue to yellow connectors? You might also check to see if the two positives are together and the two negatives are together. You can also check your battery with a mutimeter.

The batteries only about a year old, but I guess it could be….I’ll try a back up. I don’t know about the wiring. It seems more likely since it coincidentally happen right after they put the new clip on. I’ll try those things….keep the ideas coming. I am hoping it’s something simple.
