A co-worker and I are looking at getting new rod bags for the ice rods next season. Most retailers around the Metro are out of them this late in the season. Any one have any thoughts on what they like and dislike on rod bags? Any advice would be great.

Check out the best bag on the market hands down. Stone Legacy. I have had one now for some years and love it. The new ones hold 6 rods and all the stuff you can fit into the top pocket.

Thorne Bros/JR’s Tackle soft sided rod bag.
I carry eight rods, a tipup, six tackle boxes, ice armor gloves, two bait pucks, and two zip lock bags of Misc.
Best rod bag for the money. I also use the nylon rod sleeves and the todays tackle-tackle pouches to cover my jigs and spoons.

That is a really nice looking setup. I may have to look into getting one of those for next season

x2 My only suggestion would be slip rod slicks to put over your rods when you slide them in. twice I have lost a spoon, and a gil pill, because the hooks got imbedded into the case it’s self. haven’t had that issue since I stated using the slicks! I LOVE THIS CASE!!!!
