Already switched to ‘CCO….
I guess I’m officially an old timmer…

February 25, 2010 at 4:51 pm #846171The little I listen to the radio, I’ve found myself programing ‘cco the other day.
February 25, 2010 at 4:59 pm #846174I think you could argue that it hasn’t been decent since Don Vogel died. I started listening to KSTP in high school, Vogel’s show with Mischke was the best this town ever had during drive time.
I was disappointed when they cancelled Rosenbaum and O’Connell, their show was balanced, informative, and funny at times.
I enjoy Soucheray and Rookie, but once again they are messing with their show.
The last straw was when they canned Mishcke. As a guy who named his dogs (Mischke and Lewis “Lou”) after KSTP personalities I used to consider myself more than a fan. At least Mischke still has his podcasts on the City Pages site.
February 25, 2010 at 5:08 pm #846181That station is horrible right now. Last time ESPN had a station in town it didn’t last very long….hopefully that ends up being the case again.

I do some ‘CCO also. Tafoya I really like. Even from her days at KFAN I thought she was good. Still can’t do Chad Hartman. And nothing gets me to turn the dial faster then Mike “I wannabe” Max. Well, maybe Eric Nelson is a close second to Max.
Thompson, Star, all the Sunday mornings I can usually do.
February 25, 2010 at 5:32 pm #846194I tuned in ‘CCO yesterday. What happened to Boone and Ericcson? How about Joyce Lamont’s recipes? Where’s Howard Viken these days?
While we’re at it, I really miss listening to Herb Carneal and Halsey Hall.
Ahh, the good old days.
February 25, 2010 at 5:40 pm #846198Dan Larson, I agree with your comments 100%. It’s sad to watch, oh, I mean listen to.
Rootski – What about the late great Steve Cannon. Cannon was second only to Don Vogel for pure entertainment on the radio.

Why is it then that I feel old, not experienced.
