After a scoreless first period in St. Cloud North Dakota scored 4 goals in the first six minutes of the second period.

    Final score 8-1 Sioux.

    And it wasn’t that close!!

Good news…………..home & home left with Mankato State.
Bad news………….we go to Bucky-land next weekend for two.

Not a Sioux fan but less of a Huskies fan.

Never been to a Sioux/Badgers game before, but Badgers chanted “Sioux is a girls name!”

In the meantime you could hear individuals here and there yelling out “Sioux!” That really sounded pathetic.

Brian were you at the game again and can you elaborate on the Sioux being extremely cheap in the 3rd with a huge lead as is being reported also was the Sioux fan base cheering and promoting the cheap-shots? We’ve all seen and of know of the past Sioux cheap=shot history but I’m wondering what you saw?

They would not be chanting Sioux is a girl’s name if they were in Grand Forks at the Ralph…if they did, it wouldn’t last long. They came out determined last evening…wow!!

I was at the game. I wouldn’t say the Sioux played any differently then they always do. You have to remember they always have a bunch of Canadian kids. In Canada it’s a much more physical game then we like to play in the states. In addition St. Cloud is more of a finesse, speed team. So size wise North Dakota has more bigger players and things look much worse then they are when draped over the smaller St. Cloud kids.

I will say this, the Marvin kid was targeted all weekend. Apparently he hit the star player from North Dakota (don’t remember his name) from behind when they played in Grand Forks. The kid was knocked out for the season. Revenge was taken on Marvin, he took some pretty good shots.

The difference in the game was North Dakota took away all the passing lanes and hit anybody that moved. They just took the game to St. Cloud and out shot them something like 43-16 for the game.

I didn’t think the fans were any worse then the St. Cloud fans on Friday. Same chants, just far more vocal. Those fans from North Dakota are rabid and really travel well.

St. Cloud got the results for the effort they put in last night I thought.
