Anybody know of any reputable Breeder’s for the GSP? I was looking to get a pup here soon. Any help would be great, I don’t know where to start lookin as I haven’t bought a dog for 10 years as I had to put my lab down due to cancer

Contact anybody at the GSPCMN, they will help find you some breeders in your area.

Talk to Terry at Holzinger Kennels. He operates out of the Horse and Hunt Club in Shakopee, and he normally has a line a some good pups.

You can’t go wrong with Chad’s dogs at Willow Creek Kennels. My brother has a dog from Chad and if I would have been looking for a GSP instead of a lab I wouldn’t have gone anyplace else without hesitation. Here is a link to his site. He has many started dogs as well. Tell him that Nathan sent you. He is on the high side but when you ask around he will be on the top of most anyones list. Remember, you get what you pay for and the starting price of a dog is a minimal part of what a dog will cost over it’s life. A couple of links! Good luck on your looking!

Link to some of his videos on you tube. He is a very good trainer. My dog will be going there in a couple of months.

Also check with Doc’s Kennel’s in Adel Iowa. We had an incredible experience with a GSP from there. It looks like they get dogs from Boone Valley kennels now. I would call dwon there and check them out. Good luck with your dog shopping. For your reference – GSP’s have a ton more energy than labs. They are incredibly loyal and protective as well. I had both and love both breeds for different reasons.
