Any way to verify this?
February 4, 2010 at 12:48 pm #839561This link has some “internet” info.

I don’t run a Warrior but was thinking it was going to be my next boat. As some said on that link, Yarcraft may be one to look at.
DTFebruary 4, 2010 at 3:58 pm #839651Its sad to see…
I heard on Monday, but was really hoping it wasn’t true. They are a great boat. There have been quite a few that popped up online for sale this week. If I was in the market, I still wouldn’t hesitate to buy one.
February 4, 2010 at 7:50 pm #839765I wonder if it was all economy. I’m sure there was a bunch of added expense getting boats built, rigged and sent over to Cabela’s a showroom models. Maybe it was too much for a small company to swallow
There is something to be said for staying small.
February 12, 2010 at 12:13 am #841600I chatted earlier with Troy and he said they’d been on lay-off since last Nov. He was hoping to reopen by Feb 1. Troy said the big problem (besides the economy) back then was finding parts/supplys to build their boats with. He said that when Genmar went on the skids it took a lot of their suppliers with them. He was hoping to get enough vendors lined up to reopen this month. I haven’t talked with him since and now I see ALL their business related web sites are down. It’s my guess they’re done. jerr
deertrackerPosts: 9237July 12, 2011 at 6:17 pm #980112I have some inside information that Warrior has been sold and will be looking to start makin boats soon.
July 12, 2011 at 6:39 pm #977215i have a nephew that worked there, he also said that they wanted to start back up again. he didnt say anything about it being sold. last he heard one of the former top dogs was interested.
July 12, 2011 at 6:46 pm #980119Warrior is as dead as John Wayne.
But……..it is a good troll flashing across all the message boards.

Then John Wayne must be rising from the dead, I would name my source but the official announcement has not been made. But I do know they will not be in Maple Lake anymore.

Not to doubt your source but I have been reading for a year that Warrior is sold. Hasn’t happened yet. Until I read somewhere other then a message board IT’S JUST A RUMOR.
Since your guy is plugged in ask why…………….would anybody buy a boat company thats been closed over 2 years? Why would anybody move that boat company? How can they get into production in time to make the 2012 boat show season? How can they form a dealer network in time for the 2012 boat selling season?
Now…………if your announcement is that it is being bought by a competitor and the brand is going away forever, then it makes sense.
Time will tell I guess.
July 12, 2011 at 7:59 pm #980154This whole thread started as an educated rumor which turned out to be true. What makes hop307’s post any different?
July 12, 2011 at 9:14 pm #980187That would have the Warrior brand out of the shows for 3 years. Maybe Dodge can send the Durango to Europe for retooling but I don’t think keeping the Warriors out another year will work.
Time will certainly tell.
July 12, 2011 at 9:39 pm #980191Do you ever go barbless ???? I would imagine anybody who wanted to re-start a boat company, wouldn’t go in with a 6 month timeline for full production & distributing, that’s what I am saying. To think Warrior was shutdown, because of inferior product…… well we can all have our opinions

Sorry, that one was just to easy.
Oh I think Warrior had a fine product. I just think that it’s been a long time they have been closed in the world of boats. Wouldn’t the technology have changed quite a bit? I don’t know maybe not. I hope they do come back, I just think it’s been to long to count on the Warrior brand being much of factor anymore. Wouldn’t be much different if Oldsmobile made a comeback.
Besides, this was originally about a buyer which hasn’t been confirmed by anybody, so it really is a moot point I guess.
I’ll try and play nice now.

What’s that I hear?

I have fished a couple of times with Chuck and my sister works with his wife so I had first hand information on what was going on.
