dont you find it unfair that a football player shoots himself in the leg and goes to prison for a couple of years then a basketball player threatens a teammate with a gun and might not do any prison time and is only suspended for the rest of the season whats wrong with these guys

The professional sports organizations ( NFL, NBA, MLB) have showed me that they don’t have the guts to throw these bums out of the leaque forever. These athletes have reached the pinnacle of athletic prowess, get paid millions, and some (not all) still act like thugs in the hood. Dog fighting, gun play ? Not good role models for kids.
If I was the commissioner of any of these organizations and you got a felony ( or even gross misdemeaner) YOU ARE OUTTA HERE! And you’re not coming back !!
    Just my .02 cents.

Without getting all political, I have a hard time with laws that go against the ultimate law, the constitution, and I believe all these anti gun laws are unconstitutional, how plexo (whatever his name is) is accepting his punishment ridiculous , plain and simple NY city, Chicago gun laws are unconstitutional, and I hope they pay a huge financial price in the end when they get stuck down to all the rights they have infringed upon. Not to say he wasn’t an idiot and shouldn’t have been held accountable to some accord.

IMHO most NBA players make mega cash, I wouldn’t blame them for carrying.

That being said, most NBA players are thugs and idiots too, and I can fully believe the stupid action. Personaly I don’t think I’ve seen all the facts in either case, overall I’m sure the financial implications of his punishment are rather large.

The Wizards can now void the remaining $80 million on his contract. In addition he faces up to 6 years in jail.

Keep totin’ them guns boys, lots of jail space available.

Also, Brian, remember where he was when he shot himself in the leg. A nightclub, wasn’t it ? Still, THROW ‘EM OUT !!
I’m sure there are plenty of good players to take their place that value the opportunity to be a PRO. Not just abuse it.
