Kevin Stauffer and possibly John Hocksmeyer from the DNR Lake City office will be at Feb 2nd Walleye Searchers meeting. Their topics will be on Asian carp and the annual update of pool 4. This presentation is free and open to the public.

    Monday February 2, 7:00 PM

Elks Lodge, 917 15 Av. SE

    Rochester, MN

Anyone interested in fishing is welcome to attend. For more information see http://www.walleyesearchers.com

As you probably know the Asian carp could be the biggest threat to the Mississippi that has ever occurred. Here is a quick update on them

Also, on in-depthangling we have been discussing them at length – you may want to take a quick look at the 4 pages of comments at this link:

I sure hope this isn’t the end to the Mississippi as we have all come to know and enjoy, unfortunately some of the projections are very gloomy.

Will you hold this meeting considering the weather?

We will have the meeting if the Elks are open, and if the DNR still comes down from Lake City. I will try to post an update later today on the status of this meeting so check this thread before you head out.

Today’s 2/2 Walleye Searchers meeting has been postponed until next Monday 2/9 at 7 PM. The DNR will be at the Elk’s Lodge on 2/9 to talk about Asian carp and give us a Pool 4 update.
