I take exception with #1. Case in point was the last game. That first touchdown was thrown so well that the DB had no idea what just happened.

We most have watched a different first touchdown pass , He had him covered like a glove and if the defender would have turned around when Rice looked for the ball (like he is supposed to ) he would have a easy pick, right in his chest. But he didn’t and Rice made a great one handed catch from under the armpit of the defender. Another Farve colored glass look at it.

I go hunting when the team sucks….. not so much this year Sounds like you are latching on ??? Maybe taking some ownership ??? Welcome aboard

Oh no. Just pointing out Minnesota doesn’t have any talent and need to go to Wisconsin to get it. Now I am really getting in deep calling Chilly and Bevell talent.

Talented enough to win twice against your Packers, and the “Hottest team in the NFC” Cowboys!!

Again, strange how one year changes opinions. It used to be the Queens would win despite Chilly and Bevell. Now they are geniuses!

Come on Kooty, I lost that a long time ago!

This has been fun. But now I actually have to get some work done.

disclaimer, this is satire and should be taken with good humor:

The Pack will be WISHING they had T-Jack next year after all the experience he is gaining until Favre. The next MVP QB out of the NFC Norse will be a Viking too.

You might want to take those glasses you are talking about off before posting.

    Rice Highlights
The defender was playing catch up, not covering him like a glove, and because of the timing he had no chance to turn around. If he throws it short or any later, the defender makes the play. Right in the bread basket. Nice try though.

Thanks for the highlights but you might want to look at it again(pg 2 has the closer and mutiple looks). He was either in front or even with him from the 25yd line untill the catch at the 4, he was touching him at the 10 and that ball went between his arm and his helmet so I would think it is pretty well covered, he just didn’t look for the ball. I guess we just have to agree to disagree

hey I love reading these posts, good stuff!

JLDII posted: “Quiet honestly, there is not a single person on this site who would not play another year if they were in his shoes and had $12M waved under their nose.”

Ah, but there is not a person on this site that would hae turned down $22 million to go fishing on pool 4 and never work a day in their life again. (ie. the offer the Pack gave)

Of course, none of us could ever ponder being so rich that $22 million would be an insult to our EGO.

I have been a Cheesehead all my life and I sometimes hate the Vikings more than I love the Pack. But I will say Favre was the absolute correct move for the VIkes and they are the most talented team in the NFL because of that move (both sides of the ball). I feel they should win if they played on paper. He is the absolute reason that Harvin and Rice had breakout years (he has made average receivers great his whole career. He is on the best team he has ever been on (yes, even better than the ’96 and ’97 Pack). With all that said the Pack made he 100% correct move with moving on to Rodger (I personally have said it all along). He came back to play with the VIkes because they were 1 crucial piece away from being great. He would not have come back to for the Pack because their “paper” team was not nearly what the Vikes was. When he is gone and I do not wish it because he is truely a great player, the Vikes will be a huge piece away again and the Pack will be the “paper” favorites again. If I were a Vikes fan a would be “very” nervous as if they don’t win now it will be a LONG time before they get another chance (that is if #4 leaves).

Keep it going guys, great stuff.

As much money as Brett has made over the years, he’s not worried about putting food on the table any time soon. So when I discect his decision on that, it becomes obvious to me that $22M wasn’t enough to make him give up his dream, but $12m was enough for him to want to continue with his pursuit of that dream.

Of course, not having to come to training camp and getting the 4th qtr. off maybe played into his decision also!!

NFL implemented a new rule the other day. If you are over 40 and lead your team to the division championship, you don’t have to attend any mini or training camps the following year.

If he goes into his retire/not retired, I could care less, as I don’t have near as much invested in him as GB fans did and really, he owes me nothing So with that said, I want to thank Brett for his play for my team this year, he sure made it a fun season so far

Yeah, you are right he was right there. I don’t know if he could have picked it, but maybe defended it. Coming from his angle at his speed, it would have been hard to pick it. But Favre did hit Rice in stride and it was the perfect pass. I am not giving that up. Rice really never had to change his speed which didn’t tip off the Safety the ball was coming.

So I give you he had the coverage and you give me it was a nice throw.

He does have a nice touch with the ball. I’m just waiting for the game that either his arm or head goes sour, Us packer fans have seen it

Nice throw and catch, I saw it at the 10. What happened to the D, he did not even try to knock the ball away or make a tackle.

Replay of the game on NFL Network right now. Looks almost as good the second time around!
