Will the cold weather hurt or ruin this unit if mounted to the 4 wheeler? Looking to mount and use the chip to find the secret spots.Any help is appreciated.

Should be no problem. I’d take it in at night. Also, run the backlighting on high. That will generate a little internal heat.

I run a 520 in my boat on p4 in winter and rainy river, never had any problems. Lowrance made the 520 icemachine too that was intended for winter, no chanced to the head just a portable setup. -mark
