Guys, it doesn’t matter what he’s done in the past. The Vikings are where they are today because of Favre, we would not have been here without him. So whether we win the Bowl or lose out on Sunday, we got where we were because of #4.

Which was NFC North Division champs and #2 seed in the playoffs. (For now!)

Exactly.. We may lose.. and the sun will come up in the morning.. All I know is that this has been the second most fun season I’ve watched since I’ve been on this planet (1978) and I thank Chili for bringing him in and the Ol’ Gun slinger for making it very,,,very fun to witness! I know he’s by far not the only superstar we have but his being here has added to my enjoyment.. Here’s to a great game on Sunday

Before Cards took posession, therefore it is still GB ball…….15 yards and a first down GB.

You Packer fans who are all complaining about calls that weren’t made should maybe step back for a second and think about what you sound like……you sound like VIKING fans!!

Thats right. For years now its been you guys who love to point fingers and accuse Vikings fans of complaining about blown calls!! Take your medicine and deal with the harsh realities of loosing in the playoffs. Embrace this chance to feel like a Vikings fan for a day. Soak in the feeling of knowing you got the shaft by an official who could have saved the game for you, and extended your season for another game. It’s a rare honor you have been given. Don’t p*ss and moan this opportunity away. You have been blessed. Enjoy it. You are finally walking in the shoes made for a Vikings fan.

Good luck to the Vikes. I still want the Central and NFC well represented. Still enjoy watching Farve play on the field (not so much his antics off).

Yup- seems the Viking fans want to make a mountain out of this mole hill. The way I see it : Arizona beat us fair and square. They came out and punched us in the mouth. We came back and made a game out of it but could not over come our poor preformance at the start of the game. Cry in your own beer Viking fans. We have a good team on the cusp of greatness with a few key off season moves this team will be an absolute force to be reckoned with. Maybe that scares you- watching Green Bay and all the good YOUNG talent grow and develop before your eyes. The Vikings fans better hope there team wins a few games this playoff season because they put there eggs in one basket. We will see if those eggs are rotten or produced from a golden goose

There was no facemasking on that play. You cant even make that agrument with a straight face if you know the rule and watch the play.

Yeah, the Vikings are short on young talent, we are REAL scared.

I wonder how Peterson, Harvin and Rice sleep at night.

Your first 3 lines are spot on. After that you slip back into be a fanatic vs realist.

Facts are you have a good team. They are not great. They have some talented young players. Not talented great players. They are learning the new scheme 3-4.
The have a defensive coordinator who has been around a long time.

They gave up 51 points in a playoff game. Gotta a ways to go yet.

Thanks for being reasonable Brian. The most important point looking forward for Packer fans is we have the biggest piece in place in A Rodge. That is the hardest piece to find and keep. Ours is locked up long term and will spend his career in GB. Short term it was atough loss but a great game.

They need to shore up the offensive line. It was pretty pourous prior to Taucher and Clifton getting back in there. Without a offensive line I don’t care how good a quarterback is he will get destroyed.

    Rodgers is a good one!!

There you go showing your real ignorance again Dave. I saw you posted some rulebook post earlier, which you interpret with your Green and Gold hate glasses on. The fact is as said before the Packers D couldn’t stop the Cards, but neither could the Cards D stop the Pack. At a turning point in the game I want it to be decided by the players on the field. 1 missed call I could say well you get some and you lose some but back to back plays, at crunch time, that would’ve both given the Pack 15 yards and a first down leaves a sour taste in my mouth. An if you watch the play again you will notice there is a rule against even touching a QB’s helmet, it is called a blow to the head and both are 15 yarders. These football threads are good fun and I can give it as much as I can take it but I sure wish people would keep the idiot factor out of them!

The hit was from behind and he reached up and had his hand on his face, that isnt a blow to the head.

BTW, thanks, I bet someone we could get 100 posts out of Packer fans w/ only marginal provoking, I win.

AND, it was not a penalty. Every official, expert, anyone with any authority has said as much. Only the GB fans are still in denial.

If your goal is to provoke then I feel sad for you. I personally enjoy lively discussion on football topics even if I have to deal with a few hammer heads

You are definitely are NOT smarter than a 5th grader. You must have stuck to the local Minnesota channels for the 2 days after the game…. Definitely did not watch Primetime, NFL Network, or Sportscenter. I have more intelligent football conversations with my 9 year old son…..yeah I’m saying he knows more about football than you do Dave. And don’t get this as me being mad because I’m not. I actually laugh when I read your posts about football and say to myself I can’t believe this guy actually believes what he types.

big g would call you bitter, and “you have nothing constructive to say” I think that is what he said, and as others have said dave, you bring nothing to the table as far as a discussion goes. So go back to your own little world, and you can be who ever you want to be.

Also all of you Viking fans should be worried about a team that is coming to your house that is very hot and hungry to prove that they belong in the show.

Plus Favre’s ugly side hasn’t really showed yet THIS season and in prime time under the BIG lights it can show up at any given time. WE KNOW, WE FOLLOWED and witnessed it more than once. (just something to think about)

    Good luck with the Cowboys

He’s had a couple bad games, showed his bad side. Who cares. Its no secret. All I know is were glad to have him, win or loss. If we lose sunday so be it. We got much farther with him than without him.

Let it go boys…just let it go… Game is over. Season is over…very disappointing one at that. Put this on my third worst ending ever. 1st was 4th and 26 with the Eagles the night before my daughter was born. 2nd – superbowl loss(Felt we would have won that one if Holmgren would have waited til after the season to announce he was leaving…took the heart right out of the team). This fell right in there followed by a loss to the 49ers at the hands of TO in the last seconds of the game…

I have to admit…Favre stuck it to Wisconsin and all those Packer fans. I feel like he took something from me that, even if we would have beat him in the playoffs, wouldn’t have been able to get it back. I guess I take my football a little too seriously. That is why I don’t post on the football posts much anymore…people try and stir the pot…gets me a little too fired up… With Favre…no matter who really was at fault, it was too bad it had to end like that. Deep down, I would think that he isn’t truly happy how the last few years have gone either. He hurt A LOT of peoples feelings that didn’t have anything to do with him leaving.

Can’t say whether I will be rooting for the Vikes or not this post season. Deep down I probably will just so you all can feel what it is like to be a champion… …j/k Then, I will watch the posts how you have only won one…lol

The pack has many holes to fill to shore up the team and make it a contender for next year. O-line and d-backs have to be a priority!! I would LOVE to see the pack go after a free agent or two, like Hutch, and spend some money!!

Once again, congrats Vikes!! I hope, for your mental health, you make a good run at it!!
