I am a dance dad. My daughter, in 8th grade, made the high school Jr Varsity team. Between the high-kick and jazz… and 1 1/2 hrs every day training… AND competitions… it is sport. I pick up my daughter some days with her complaining about the 2-3 miles they ran AFTER practice. Stamina, strength, and skill… doesn’t come easy. Baseball is NOTHING compared to dance. Not sure about football.

    Psssht?!?!

Baseball is nothing compared to dance? Shoot, only 2-3 miles after practice? Try running 10 miles after pitching a game. High school baseball was as much as we wanted it to be, but in college, we had workouts in the morning from 5am-8am, and then after class for a minimum of four hours, and were only allowed to play if our gpa was above 3.0-

Luke your totally right. baseball is a very under rated sport. The physical workouts you have to go through to be good are unbelievable. For our workouts we’d had to do ABs till we couldn’t move our bodies and the forearm exercises where enough to make my arm go numb for an hour.
