The pick 6 sure seemed to break the momentum they had going. Although their D is looking amazing.

I still say they’re better than those ohio state sissies.

However, I DID see some Cornheads in the crowd. C’mon Iowa…don’t be unoriginal thieves….you don’t wanna risk making Suh mad!!

Hawks won their bowl game, ISU won their bowl game, and now it’s time for the wrestlers to do their thing.

Ya, I’ve got a couple nickname for the buckeyes that I can’t mention here. Use your imagination, I’m sure you can come up with a couple that I commonly use.

The Big 10 goes 4-0 in all the ranked bowl games. Take that ESPN and all the talking heads who hammer on how “down” the Big 10 is!

Congrats to Iowa. Makes you wonder what would have happened if Stanzi didn’t get hurt. And congrats to the Iowa fans. The place sounded more like a home game for Iowa than it did for GT.

Looks like the only embarrassment this year was put forth by the Gophers, but what else would you expect. I think the talking heads have been giving credit to the Big 10 this bowl season. They had every right to call it “down” the last few years.

I’m not sure what shape PSU will be next year, but it is shaping up to be a three team race between OSU, Iowa, and Wisconsin!

That was an impressive win – did think about shutting off the sound as the fox pre-game and the announcers seemed very biased toward GT.

Great bowl season in my house – my Huskers put forth the most dominating game of the bowl season and the wife’s Hawkeyes won in convincing fashion!!

I am hopeful that Texas can bring the national championship to the Big 12 but that might be a stretch…

I’m sure Georgia Tech understands why no one in the Big 10 runs a triple option offense.

Stat of the game: Georgia Tech (11-3) entered the game without punting for 22 consecutive possessions. The Yellow Jackets went three-and-out on their first four possessions and punted six times in the first half. Iowa held Georgia Tech to 156 total yards, just 32 in the first half.

Probably the best part of the game was Ricky Stanzi’s interview at the end. “This win was for America! Don’t love it!? Leave it!” Lol

What an amazing game, nothing better than seeing a “prominent” ACC team go down at the hands of the a Big Ten team, and the Hawks at that!

Now I just hope my Wolverines can get in on the action next year…

All year long the Hawks were discounted, it is too bad Stanzi went down, would have been a heart attack season had he stayed healthy. How about that Sioux City boy Brandon Wegher The team is pretty well set up for next year, just need a strong TE or two back in the stable.

I think we all know the college football world would have found a way to snub Iowa from the national title game one way or another.

As much as i love the maroon and gold I had myself yelling at the TV for this game! Fun game to watch and watch a local high school boy here play (Klug). I hate the fact it is debated to much on FOX, ESPN ect. but BCS is a bunch of crap throw in the playoff system and lets gets some fun going in D-1!!!! I found myself watching D-III, D-II, and D-1AA on ESPN and loved it! Everyone has a chance at the crown

it wouldn’t of been a snub. iowa doesn’t have the offense to last 4 quarters with the likes of tx/fla/ala . and 2 have better defenses and one is pretty much even.

tcu or bsu? all day long iowa’s defense would of annialated those guys.

i was watching pregames and reading articles and while i am not a fan of iowa at all (here in the qc, iowa fans are completely quiet until they are good at something) i couldnt’ believe everyone was picking gt to win this game.

besides VT, the ACC is the biggest joke in college football. and the Triple option package is one of the crappiest packages in the world. here is who it historically beats. bad teams, army/navy/ and notre dame. thats it. 95% of the time it goes up against a good defense its completely ineffective! the reason gt never punts isn’t because they are good on 3rd down its because they go for it on 4th down more than any other team in a big conference. last night they got down early…they have a mediocre defense and both it and their offense was exposed real early.

anyway, iowa is my number 4 team in the nation and thats where they should be preseason next year. if stanzi hadn’t gotten hurt they wouldnt’ of lost to NW for sure AND i believe they would of beaten the suckeyes.

BCS is a JOKE. No matter what team or teams are undefeated they should play for the national championship game. I would place Boise State and TCU up against any school. One of the best games played this year was these two schools. Last nights game was good. BSU and TCU was GREAT. Until the BCS can figure out what they are doing this will be a argument for ever.

no way…that game was a joke…nothing during that game convinced me either of those teams belonged anywhere near the top 5. penalties all over the place balls flying downfield to noone. if they’d of played iowa/pennst/lsu/oregon they’d of gotten destroyed like cinci did against florida. and hawaii against georgia a few years back.

i’m a big supporter of mid majors and they are getting there….it was a good season but not good enough.

I agree…I haven’t even heard of some of the colleges that play in those playoffs but yet I find myself watching anyway. A playoff system would put all the speculation to rest!! All the time between the end of the season and bowl games…it’s a slam dunk in my eyes. Best part is you still could have a bunch of bowl games at the end!!
